Personal Statement
My name is Neve Yair, and I currently attend Poly Prep high school after recently transferring from Millennium Brooklyn High School. I am a sophmore and I play point guard. I love to create shots for my teamates, and I practice 3-4 times a week during the school year with my travel team New York Grit. We practiced 6/7 times a week during the summer, and really elivated our skill set as well as team play. I am very active with the recruiting process, and I constanly email college coaches to get on the radar through Sports Recruits. Sports Recruits is a website that makes the recruiting process much easier by providing a profie with all the information that college coaches need, and giving the option to add a highlight reel that can be featured on you profile. You can also add videos that are not featured but still accesable on Sports recruit itself. I am interested in playing Division 1 basketball primerily, but I am looking for a school that has great academics as well as a good basketball team. I am not against playing for a division 3 school as long as its strong in academics.
Travel
My team New York Grit is a travel team that attends tournaments all over the east coast. During the spring/summer of 2020, we were planning on attending 4 tournaments; Nike Boo Williams, Atlantic City Showcase, Nike Tournament of Champions, and The Rose Classic. Unfortunantely these all got cancelled, but this spring/summer of 2021, we are planning to attend; Gym Rats, Nike Boo Williams, and Atlantic City Showcase as of now.
